Privacy Policy

1. Data controller
Telltab (hello@telltab.com) is the controller of its clients' data (site operators). Operators are responsible for the data of their end users.
2. Data collected
Within the framework of the Telltab service, the following are collected:
- Messages and voice transcriptions submitted via the widget
- The URL of the source page and the user identifier (if provided by the integrating site)
- Technical metadata (browser, viewport) in "Bug report" mode
Audio data is processed for transcription and then stored in text format.
3. Purpose
Data is collected to enable site operators to gather and analyse feedback from their users.
4. Legal basis
Legitimate interest of the operator in improving its service (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
5. Hosting
Data is hosted on servers located in Germany (Hetzner Online GmbH, Nuremberg) within the European Union.
6. Retention period
Feedback is kept for 730 days (24 months) from its creation. Beyond this period, it is automatically deleted from the database each time the service starts.
7. Rights of individuals
In accordance with the GDPR, you have a right of access, rectification and deletion. Contact: hello@telltab.com
8. Cookies
The Telltab widget does not place any cookie on the end user's browser.
9. Sub-processors
The following sub-processors are involved in the processing of data:
- Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany) — hosting of the infrastructure and database; all data (feedback, transcriptions, metadata).
- Anthropic PBC (United States) — automatic sentiment analysis via a Claude model called through a LiteLLM gateway; the textual content of feedback messages is transmitted for this purpose.
- Stripe Payments Europe Ltd (Ireland) — processing of payments and billing; billing and payment data of operator clients (card data does not transit through Telltab).
- Scribe (self-hosted at Hetzner, EU) — voice transcription of audio messages; audio files submitted via the widget.
- Umami (self-hosted at Hetzner, EU) — audience measurement of the telltab.com site; anonymised browsing data, without cookies.
- Listmonk (self-hosted at Hetzner, EU) — sending of newsletters and product communications; email address and subscription status of operator clients.
